Angela Reaney
Angela is an experienced criminal defense attorney. Prior to joining the Goodman Law Office, she served with the Federal Public Defender’s trial unit, representing clients accused of serious offenses, including drug, gun, and sex offenses. In the Federal Public Defender’s capital habeas unit, she represented Florida death-sentenced inmates in federal habeas corpus proceedings. She has also argued several appeals before the Seventh Circuit.
Prior to practicing criminal law, Angela served as a law clerk to a judge in the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and two district judges in the Southern District of Illinois. She was also an adjunct professor at Southern Illinois University’s School of Law and Criminology department, teaching courses ranging from Wrongful Convictions to Federal Habeas Corpus.Angela graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law and holds a master’s degree in criminology from Florida State University.
