United States v. Ivan Eberhart, 126 S. Ct. 403 (2005):

Mr. Eberhart stood convicted of a federal drug conspiracy sentence and faced a mandatory ten year sentence when he hired Mr. Goodman’s firm.  Mr. Goodman recognized that the conviction was flawed adn he took the case all the way to the United States Supreme Court where he won an historic, unanimous reversal of Mr. Eberhart’s drug conspiracy conviction.  Mr. Goodman is one of the only attorneys to have won the reversal of criminal convictions in both the United States Supreme Court and the Illinois Supreme Court.
