Mr. Goodman has represented many persons charged in both state and federal court with financial crimes such as fraud and embezzlement. In the summer of 2008, Mr. Goodman won a rare acquittal before a federal jury on all six counts of fraud (wire fraud and SEC fraud). The defendant, Gary Heesch, was the seventy-one-year-old CEO of Wasatch Pharmaceuticals, a Utah corporation that sold skin care products. Also in 2008, Goodman won a reversal of a three-year prison sentence for a tax preparer charged with fraud. Mr. Goodman also represented the former Town President of Cicero, Betty Loren-Maltese, in her in her post-trial attempts to reverse her convictions for fraud and public corruption.
